Hey, hi, HELLO! How are you? I’m baaaaack!!!!! Did you miss me?!
My vacations were fun – I spent a lot of time with family and friends. I intended to be back to work sooner but Paul and I had colds – ugh summer colds are THE WORST. All I wanna do is be outside doing fun stuff. Colds were followed by pretty much living out of a suitcase for 3 weeks. Oh well, such is life.
It feels good to back to work!!! Sometimes it takes a break from the daily tasks to help realize how much you really enjoy them. Know what I mean?
Today I’ve got the ultimate summertime drink for you – lemonade.
But not just any lemonade, literally the easiest lemonade you will ever make….drumbroll please…….BLENDER LEMONADE!!!
If you’re like, what the heck is blender lemonade?! Allow me to introduce you.
Guess what!!! There is no squeezing of lemons required!!! You don’t even need to dig out that juicer…hand powdered or electric powered alike. Nope, don’t need them because the blender does the job even faster!
How to make blender lemonade:
- quarter some lemons
- throw them in the blender along with water and agave nectar
- pulse the blender on low 1 to 3 times, just to break up the juice from the lemons
- strain through a fine mesh siv to filter through the pulp and lemon rind
- Add to pitcher, stir in remaining water
- serve over ice and enjoy the sweet refreshing lemonade you just made without even breaking a sweat!
5, 10 minutes tops and you’ve got yourself a huge pitcher of lemonade!!!!
I know, I KNOW! Pretty amazing technique for making lemonade, right?!
Just think, you’re going to be enjoying lemonade all day everyday during these hot August days! Summer just got a little sweeter!
This blender lemonade recipe is naturally sweetened using agave nectar. I like using agave nectar because it stirs into liquids easily and because it’s lower on the glycemic index, which means MORE LEMONADE!!! That’s never a bad thing!
I am so in love with this blender lemonade technique. I mean, think about it, you could use the same technique for making any kind of citrus juices. Orange juice – yes! Limeade – YES!!! Maybe even some margaritas – HECK YES!!!!!!
Oh, trust me, I’ve already saved the idea for blender margaritas in my long list of recipe ideas. Don’t you worry, it will be happening one of these days!!!
Speaking of margaritas…I can totally vouch that this blender lemonade is made extra delicious by spiking it with a little vodka. I’m all about those adult friendly beverages!
There you have it, the easiest blender lemonade you will ever make. It’s refreshing and the perfect balance of tart and sweet.
Picture it: It’s a hot Saturday afternoon, you’re sitting on your back porch enjoying the sun – reading a good book or chatting with a loved one. You have an ice cold glass of blender lemonade in your hand. Sipping away at the refreshing drink and enjoying every minute of it.
What a beautiful moment!
Easiest Blender Lemonade
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 10 mins
- Yield: 6 cups lemonade 1x
- Category: Drink
- Cuisine: Vegan, refined sugar free, vegetarian, gluten free
Description
Fresh squeezed lemonade that doesn’t actually require squeezing lemons. A quick pulse of a blender and a fine mesh siv does the trick. Blender lemonade is the perfect summertime beverage! Plus it’s naturally sweetened with agave nectar.
Ingredients
- 4 lemons, washed and cut into quarters
- 6 cups of cold filtered water
- 1/2 cup + 1 to 2 tablespoons agave nectar
- Optional Garnish
- 1 or 2 extra lemons cut into wedges or slices
Instructions
- Blend: Add the lemons 2 cups of the water, and agave nectar to a blender. Pulse on low 1 to 3 times until the flesh of the lemons have broken down – large chunks of lemon rind should remain (see photo in post). How many times you pulse your blender depends on how high powered your blender is, you don’t want to break the lemons up too much.
- Strain: Place a fine mesh siv over a bowl. Pass the lemonade through the siv and use a spatula to help push any liquid through, discard the lemon rinds. you may have to work in batches and empty the lemon rinds a few times.
- Finish; Transfer the lemonade to a pitcher and stir in the remaining 4 cups filtered water. Stir to combine and taste. Stir in more agave nectar or water to adjust the lemonade to your liking. Keep in mind that I kept my lemonade pretty tart to compensate for ice when when it’s served. Store the lemonade in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice and garnish glasses and the pitcher with lemon slices if desired. Pour the lemonade into each glass and serve immediately. The lemonade will keep in the fridge for 2 to 3 days.
Notes
You could spike this lemonade with vodka for an adult beverage. I totally support this! 😉
