Say hello to your new favorite go to weeknight meal. 30 minutes. 1 pan. YES please!
Say hello to your new effortless date night in. 30 minutes.1 pan to wash. Goes well with wine. YES again!
GAH! I love when I land on a recipe that’s easy and simple enough for busy weeknights, yet special enough for a good date night in! Because let’s be honest, who wants to do a ton of dishes on either of those nights?!
Oh, sheet pan miso glazed salmon you are amazing!!!!
Here’s the deal friends:
Perfectly roasted, crispy broccoli that’s drizzled with a little miso sauce and perfectly cooked miso glazed salmon.
That miso glaze is legit. It’s got miso paste, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and honey. The key is the honey because it is what makes the glaze nice and sticky and sweet. It’s almost as if it candies the salmon. No joke.
The savory salmon topped with the nutty, salty, sweet, Asian glaze and that crispy broccoli that pretty much melts in your mouth. Just take me now!
I’m a happy girl.
And to think that we can have such a delicious, healthy, satisfying meal on a busy weeknight and then turn around and make it for Friday night date night in with your special someone. What an awesome recipe this miso glazed salmon turned out to be!
All this date night in talk I should have had this recipe out before Valentine’s day instead of right after, whoops. Who cares though, you don’t need a holiday to tell you when to eat a little extra special meal.
Amiright!?
I mean just look at the beautiful glisten off that salmon. We aren’t messing around with that glaze, friends!
Not only does miso glazed salmon only requires 30 minutes to make, and one pan. It is also naturally gluten free, just make sure you use tamari or coconut aminos in place of soy sauce. And it’s dairy free too!
It is also packed with healthy Omega-3 fats which help with brain function, and helps to keep your skin and hair looking beautiful. Thank you salmon!!!
And we all know that broccoli is pretty much the all star of veggies!
I know I am always excited about my recipes, I wouldn’t be blogging if I weren’t – but this miso glazed salmon is currently in my top 5 favorite recipes I have made recently. And for sure my favorite entree of 2019….so far. Point is, this recipe is an extra EXTRA delicious one. I really think you would love yourself if you made it! Just Sayin’!
Besides, what do you have to lose? Remember, miso glazed salmon is a pretty effortless meal to make.
Small investment. Big pay off!
Come on! Don’t you just wish you could pick up that fork and take a bite of that salmon?!
I know I do!
P.S. use up any leftover miso paste and make my nourishing miso soup. You’ll love it!

Description
Sheet pan miso glazed salmon is easy enough for a busy weeknight but fancy enough for a date night in. The miso glaze is sweet, salty, nutty and perfect on top of that tender salmon!
Ingredients
- Broccoli
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1.5 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- salt and pepper
- Miso glaze & salmon
- 3 tablespoons miso paste (I used a brown miso paste, but any color will work)
- 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce (or use tamari for gluten free or coconut aminos)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, pressed/minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- Optional: 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 12 ounces salmon, cut into fillets (wild caught is best, when possible)
- Optional Toppings
- sesame seeds
- 1 green onion, sliced
- red pepper flakes (for a little extra spice)
Instructions
- Prepare: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Chop the broccoli as instructed above.
- Roast the broccoli: Add the broccoli florets to a large sheet pan. Toss with the olive oil and salt and pepper to coat – spread out into an even layer. Roast the broccoli for 10 minutes.
- Make the miso glaze: Do this while the broccoli is roasting. Add all of the ingredients for the miso glaze in a small mixing bowl and whisk together – it should form a semi thick but spread-able paste. Taste and adjust flavors as needed. Measure out 1/4 of a cup of the glaze, Set aside.
- Prepare the salmon: Using paper towels pat the salmon dry. Also at this time cut a piece of parchment paper just big enough to fit the salmon – set aside.
- Cook the salmon: Once the broccoli has roasted for 10 minutes move it to one side, making sure not to flip the broccoli. Place the parchment paper onto the sheet pan and the salmon on top of the parchment paper. Use a spoon to spread the glaze that was left in the bowl on top of the salmon. Pop the sheet pan back in the oven for another 10 to 12 minuets, or until the salmon is opaque and flaky.
- Thin out the paste for broccoli: To the reserved 1/4 cup of miso glaze mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water, or until the glaze turns into more of a thick runny sauce – set aside.
- Serve: Transfer the salmon to serving plates along with the broccoli. Sprinkle the salmon with sesame seeds, green onion, and red pepper flakes, if desired. Spoon the thinned out miso sauce over top of the broccoli and enjoy immediately.
