Super Green Pineapple Lime Cilantro Smoothie

Description

This smoothie is packed with nutrient rich ingredients and tastes like summer. Enjoy it as part of your breakfast, or lunch.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any other milk you prefer)
  • Juice of 1 large lime
  • 1 cup cilantro (including stems that have been trimmed)
  • 1 to 2 cups spinach
  • 1 banana, previously frozen and sliced
  • 1 1/4 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 to 2 inches ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons matcha tea (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or ground flax seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend on high until everything is creamy. Taste and adjust as needed, add more banana for sweetness, more lime juice, more ginger, or more pineapple.
  2. Transfer to a serving glass and enjoy immediately.
  3. NOTE: If your blender is not high speed then first blend the milk, lime juice, cilantro and spinach until no green chunks remain. Then gradually add the frozen fruit, about 1/4 cup at a time, blending until smooth in between each addition of frozen fruit.
