Description
Strawberry and Arugula Sangria is perfectly fruity with a hint of pepper from the arugula.

- 1 bottle dry red wine, such as Merlot
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (about 1/2 of an orange)
- 2 cups fresh arugula
- 1/2 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 1/2 oranges, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a large pitcher stir together the wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the Arugula and muddle with a large wooden spoon.
- Add the strawberries, oranges, lime, and lemon and stir until all of the fruit is well mixed into the wine.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours. Strain the sangria and serve chilled. Garnish with fruit or arugula, if desired.
