Description

Cantaloupe sangria is a refreshing, sweet drink that is perfect for a hot evening.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 bottles dry white wine (I used Pinot Grigio)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1 cup mint leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 whole medium-sized cantaloupe, cut into cubes, or use a melon baller
  • 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
  • 1 cup green grapes washed, dried, and frozen (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour about a ½ cup white wine into a pitcher. Add the honey and use a wooden spoon to stir until the honey has been combined. Add most of the mint leaves and muddle them with the back of your wooden spoon.
  2. Add the remaining wine and the vodka. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the lemon and most of the cantaloupe and stir to combine.
  4. Place in the refrigerator overnight or for 6 to 8 hours.
  5. Serve cold and garnish with remaining melon balls and mint leaves. Place a few frozen grapes into the sangria to help keep it cold without watering the sangria down.
